Students visit the library every week with their class for 30 minutes.  Teachers may arrange for additional time as needed.

Check Out Policy

Students in Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 are permitted to take out one book per week.

Students in Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 are allowed to take out 2 books per week.

All library books are due back after one week.

If a student is still reading a book, they are more than welcome to take that book out again but it must be brought back to renew on a weekly basis during their specified library class.

If a student is 2 weeks overdue in returning their library book(s), a reminder will be sent home in the Friday envelope.

If the library book(s) are 3 weeks overdue, then a payment letter is sent home in the Friday envelope.

Damaged Books

Library books sometimes get damaged in backpacks or at home.  If the book can be repaired adequately enough that it can stay in circulation, there is no charge.  If the book is damaged to the extent that it can no longer be used, the student will be charged the same amount it was purchased for.
